Bedding & Beds
Good Guinea Pig bedding should absorb urine and should still remain dry. It should reduce the amount of odour, and should be comfortable and cozy for the Guinea Pigs to sleep in. It should also be dust extracted.
Sawdust bedding isn't good either, it doesn't absorb enough urine, and it can be itchy for the Guinea Pigs. Here, we have listed the best bedding we can find that will provide maximum comfort and hygiene for your Guinea Pig and its cage. Learn how to clean out bedding when it gets smelly with this care guide. (note: some are advertised as rabbit or 'small animal' bedding, but these are perfect for Guinea Pigs) Personal recommendation:
I use the Absorption Corp Carefresh Natural Bedding because it is highly absorbent, is compressed, and has amazing odour control, and lasts for ages! A tiny bit lasts a whole week. (1st one in list)

Garden bins for Guinea Pig waste
Personally, I find that it is useful to keep a rubbish bag close to the cage to store all the old, wet bedding, uneaten food, and bits of poo that are cleaned out from the cage. Unfortunately, these bags can spill out all over your garden, and can attract flies and other unwanted pests. That is why I found that using a garden bin to store the waste in (until you put out your rubbish on collection day or when your bag is full) is very useful and beneficial. Check out these ones! We even list a garden incinerator to burn your Guinea Pigs waste, leaving behind absolutely NO mess at all!

Guinea Pig Litter Trays
Naturally, Guinea Pigs poop as they walk, whenever and wherever they want, but with the right training (preferably from a young age) and the right attitude, they can be trained to poop in a set place (such as a corner of the cage). These litter trays can be used to help train them, and used as a set place where they go to the toilet, instead of going anywhere. See our training guide on how to train a Guinea Pig to poo in one place (coming soon)

Pet safe sprays (Guinea Pig cage cleaning spray)
These Guinea Pig sprays are for eliminating germs, odours and harmful bacteria in your Guinea Pigs cage. They should be used every full clean out (Read our guide to Cleaning Out a Guinea Pigs Cage here - to learn more about how to use these products)
We highly recommend Johnsons Clean N Safe small animal spray, as it is non-toxic, and eliminates odours as well as killing germs. Some of these sprays can be used to clean food bowls and can be used in the same place that Guinea Pigs feed from as they are non toxic.

Guinea Pig urine sprays
You can spray all wet patches of urine or dried urine residue with Urine Off (or any other of our listed urine sprays), a great Guinea Pig urine remover (this should be used with other cage cleaning spray, as urine sprays are purely for urine, not general cage cleaning.) (Note, you should read the descriptions and buy these products at your own risk. We are not responsible to any damages to any cages, or any other damages these products may cause)

Guinea Pig Waste Scoops
When cleaning out your Guinea Pigs, it may be useful to have some scoops, or spades, to aid you in scooping up large amounts of wet bedding, uneaten food, and wet newspaper that you will have to remove every week in your full clean out. Personally, I use some of these products, and they are very useful and speed up the time it takes me to clean out my Guinea Pigs.
