Indoor cages
Having an indoor cage can be beneficial, especially if you live in a climate that can get too hot or cold. It also means you can always be with your Guinea Pig, whatever the weather. Remember, if they have been living indoors for a substantial amount of time, it is bad for them to then be moved to an outdoor hutch due to temperature and frequent climate changes.

Indoor runs
A run is basically a large cornered off area where the Guinea Pigs are allowed to run free. There may be toys, and treats, or it may be left barren for the Guinea Pigs to stretch their legs. Either way, an indoor run is perfect for your Guinea Pig to stretch their legs, in the same room as you! And it can be done in all weathers too. If you have a lawn, the Guinea Pigs will be in heaven when they get to scamper about in all that grass! You can put bricks, small stones, pipes and other toys & treats in the run to make their playtime more interesting and exciting. Just make sure you take them in when it starts to rain!
